Gwendolyn —
GYROTONIC® Apprentice
NeuroSomatic Intelligence Practitioner
Movement Educator

Gwendolyn is a GYROTONIC® Apprentice, certified NeuroSomatic Intelligence (NSI) Practitioner, and movement educator with more than 20 years of experience helping people move with greater strength, mobility, resilience, and ease.

Her work bridges intelligent movement with nervous system science, drawing from the GYROTONIC® exercise method, yoga, Pilates, functional movement, meditation, and mindfulness to support lasting change in both body and mind. Every session is individualized, meeting clients where they are while building capacity through precise, progressive movement and nervous system-informed guidance.

As a certified NSI Practitioner, Gwendolyn integrates evidence-based neuroscience with somatic practices to help clients reduce chronic stress, improve emotional regulation, recover from persistent tension, and develop greater adaptability. Rather than treating movement and well-being as separate pursuits, she views them as deeply interconnected expressions of the same resilient system.

Her background includes extensive training in Pilates, yoga, functional movement, trauma-informed teaching, mindfulness mentoring with Tara Brach, somatic embodiment, breathwork, and meditation. She continues her education as a GYROTONIC® Apprentice, bringing a lifelong curiosity and dedication to helping people move—and live—with greater freedom.

Breath + Belonging is rooted in a quiet home studio among the trees of Silver Spring, Maryland. This work is offered with deep gratitude for the land, its first stewards, and the enduring relationship between movement, nature, and belonging.
